The OCS Pellet Size and Shape Distribution System (PSSD) is a powerful instrument that can measure and classify the size and shape of all types of pellets, including granules and resin. It uses a line scan camera to analyze pellets in free fall, and it can classify pellets (over and undersize, abrasion, agglomerates, etc.) according to their morphological properties.

In addition to size and shape measurement, the PSSD can also monitor the pelleting system (degree of abrasion of the cutters), determine the pellet weight (with optional weighing system), and transfer real-time results to production and process control systems.
