ZETA POTENTIAL ANALYZER
DataPhysics Zeta Potential Analyzer ZPA 20 is using a patented measuring technique for determination of zeta potential. This patented technique uses bidirectional oscillating streaming potential method. The instrument measures the streaming potential and the currently applied pressure, as well as the temperature, conductivity and pH value of the electrolyte solution. The instrument is able to apply a wide range of flow frequencies and amplitudes which enable a fast and precise measurement to be performed.
The zeta potential directly affects the stability of colloidal suspensions and gives indications on the level of adhesion between solids. Furthermore the ζ potential can be used to monitor the adsorption and chemical reaction of ions/molecules, surfactants, polymers etc. with the solid surface.
