The Mooney Viscometer (MV) is a high-precision shearing disc viscometer essential for rubber quality control. It accurately determines the crucial scorch characteristics and records the Mooney Viscosity over time of unvulcanized rubber compounds, synthetic rubber, or pure natural rubber samples. Our instrument fully complies with key industry standards, including ASTM D1646, ISO 289, and DIN 53523.
How the Mooney Viscometer Works
A sample, prepared as two round blanks, is sheared in a closed chamber by a constant-turning rotor. During the test, the resulting torque is continuously measured while pressure, temperature, and rotor speed are strictly maintained as constants. Featuring a renewed, user-centric design, this rubber testing machine delivers significantly improved usability, making it ideal for rapid quality checks aligned with the highest ISO and ASTM standards.
