Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 Classic Line
The FRITSCH PULVERISETTE 5 Planetary Ball Mill Classic Line, available with two or four grinding workstations, delivers high-energy grinding for hard, medium-hard, soft, brittle, tough, and moist materials, achieving colloidal fineness. Grinding can be performed dry, in suspension, or under inert gas, with applications extending to mixing, homogenizing emulsions/pastes, and mechanical alloying in materials research. The mill operates via dual rotation: grinding bowls spin on their axes while the main disk rotates oppositely, generating centrifugal forces up to 22 g at 400 rpm. This motion propels grinding balls to collide with samples and bowl walls, combining impact, friction, and shear forces for efficient size reduction. The design ensures loss-free processing and reproducible results
